February Feels Like the Real Fresh Start (Plus Wacky Holidays & Self-Care Love!)

Hey Planner Friends

January. Ah, January. It's the month of resolutions, fresh notebooks, and the idea of a brand new you. But let's be real, does anyone actually feel like they've got their act together by January 31st? It's more like a long, slightly disoriented runway after the holiday whirlwind. We're still figuring out which way is up, remembering what day it is, and trying to locate that "organized human" we swore we'd become. Anyone else feel like that first sip of coffee in January is just… barely kicking in now?

Don't worry, you're not alone! February is where the real fresh start begins. We've dusted off the glitter from New Year's Eve, the kids are (mostly) back in their school routines, and we can finally see the horizon (and maybe even some sunshine!). It's time to take those January aspirations and turn them into actionable steps.

Speaking of actionable steps, have you set your goals for the year yet? Don't panic if you haven't! It's never too late. Here are a few last-minute goal-setting tips to get you going:

  • Start Small & Specific: Instead of "Get Organized," try "Organize my desk drawer this weekend." Bite-sized goals are easier to digest (and conquer!).
  • Focus on ONE Thing: Resist the urge to overhaul your entire life at once. Choose one area you want to improve and focus your energy there.
  • Make it Fun: Goals shouldn't feel like chores. Incorporate things you enjoy into your planning process. Love stationery? Treat yourself to some new pens! Need motivation? Find an accountability buddy!
  • Review & Adjust: Life happens. Be flexible and willing to tweak your goals as needed. Progress isn't always linear, and that's okay!

Now, because I believe in celebrating everything, here is your February Wacky Holidays Calendar ready for you! Get ready for everything from National Pizza Day (yes, please!) to… well, let's just say some truly unique and giggle-worthy occasions.

My friends always bash on me because my birthday falls right on National Pizza Day and they can't always enjoy the pizza specials that day since they are usually celebrating with me. It's all in good fun LOL.

Hope you enjoy all those lovely celebrations and don't forget to follow me on Instagram so I can continue sharing updates on those dates.

Self-Care In February

And since February is the month of love, let's talk about self-care. This isn't just about bubble baths (though those are great too!). Self-care is about nurturing your mind, body, and soul. It's about prioritizing your well-being so you can be the best version of yourself.

Your February Self-Care Challenge: Each week, dedicate at least 30 minutes to something that truly nourishes you. Maybe it's reading a book, going for a walk in nature, spending quality time with loved ones, or simply taking a few quiet moments to reflect. Share your self-care activities with us on social media using #SarasPlannerSelfCare – let's inspire each other!

We're so excited to embark on this February fresh start with you. Remember, planning is about progress, not perfection. Let's make this month amazing!
